Comments

This heron is well known for having developed the curious mode of fishing, dubbed "umbrella fishing". After taking a few steps in shallow water, the bird spreads its wings and closes them over its head to form a dome. Looking for shade, the fish swim underneath the black canopy, where the bird can strike them with perfect accuracy.
